Well, I said news will come… Here they are. This summer, I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to see London through other eyes. The student eyes.
I’ve been dreaming for a while now to go to summer camps around the world and the nice people at IntegralEdu heard my screams and offered me this amazing chance. Summer camp in Chelsea. At Chelsea Independent College! For those who don’t know, Chelsea is the posh part of London. Kind of like the Upper East Side of New York. So. Back to the camp. I will be here for two weeks, studying Arts & Design – a subject I am not exactly the best in. We’ll also have some english lessons, literature, I think. The cool thing about this Summer School Camp is that even though we learn things in school, we have activities. For example, we’ll go to exhibitions and to the TATE Modern Museum here in London… Apart from that, every night we have something that we do all together, all the courses : Arts & Design, Politics, Engineering, Medicine…
Throughout these days, I’ll be keeping you all updated on my Instagram and Facebook, so if that interests you, check those out. Also, I’ll write a ‘diary’ series which will be up and running on this really cool platform once a week.
The dorms are beyond amazing. There are age groups and I’m in the 16-18 area. Each age group has different curfew hours and activities planned out. There are other courses too, not just the one I’m going to. Basically, everyone here is really welcoming and open, since they are from all around the world. China, Poland, Spain… All and all, everyone is incredibly nice to each other. The staff is brilliant. Funny and kind. They crack jokes all the time and try to make sure everyone gets a good experience. The I’ll be honest, at first, I was freaking out. I had no idea if I would be able to make friends really fast or if I’d be really anti social and not talk to anyone…
We’ll see how it goes. From my perspective, until now, it’s been good. It is as it is, see you at the end of the week on this very same platform.
P.S. – As you can see, I have attached a picture with me standing very excitedly outside the building we live in showing my keys off!!
