To me, Christmas means people. Ever since I was a little girl, I got used to having a full house on Christmas night. My mother is an extreme social butterfly, so everyone who wanted to come over for Christmas could. There was something about the constant noise and the people singing carols as they would show up that I have fallen in love with. We spent time together and after we would all open our presents, I would go to my room and watch movies or listen to music. I would sometimes pop out and check to see who’s still there. I would just watch and enjoy everything around me, like I was invisible. It’s weird that this is what I loved. When I think about it, I would not even see most of them for the whole night. My house was full of artists on Christmas Eve. Everyone had their own style and each one of them was interesting in their own way. I was in awe most of the time. Our house filled with love and joy every Christmas Eve night, and this is why I’m always excited for this holiday to come.
Christmas means music, tea, gingerbread, milk, cookies, Romanian food, lights, decorations, happiness, emotion and love.
What does your Christmas mean to you? I’d love to know!
